NPD officer receives D.A.R.E. certification

Dave Daniels is third NPD officer to be certified.

When Dave Daniels interviewed with the Norwalk Police Department in early 2005, he indicated his long-term goal was to work with area youth.

He's getting that chance now through D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education). That's because Dave Pigman, who had been with the department for 16 years, just retired.

Daniels recently graduated from D.A.R.E training and received his certification. He's the department's third officer to receive the honor.

A feature story about Daniels was published recently in the Norwalk Reflector. So you don't miss stories such as this one, you can subscribe to the Norwalk Reflector to receive home delivery and/or the e-paper, which is a complete digital replica of each issue. Congrats Dave, the city's program has always been one of the best.

My daughter was involved when Phil Charville was with Dare, he did a great job with the kids. Norwalk is very fortunate to have this program, the out of state school system my grandson attends does not have a Dare program. Congratulations and Good Luck Dave Daniels the kids need you !
