Why is Willard on a 2 hour delay and not closed Wed. like the rest of the schools. This Supt. is ridiculous, get the point, you will end up closing just like the rest of the schools but now all the parents have to be dicked around because you want to play games. Also, I drove in town there today and the roads are horrible!!!!!! Safety first!

believe it

People are a bunch of wusses these days. It's just cold, bundle up. And the roads aren't bad at all, people just don't know how to drive.

The wimping of America continues. We already have a generation of 20-somethings who call off work because "OMG! It snowed!" That trend is certain to continue.

unemployment co...

Give it about another 30 minutes and the call to cancel Norwalk should come. They just love to use that phone system.

ISPSP

Would you like a napkin? You have egg on your face.....

Judging from your next comment..... You're just not going to be happy no matter what.

unemployment co...

Well, I guess the Willard Super has rubbed off on the Norwalk Super because the games are going on here too, no call yet. It is below zero so even if they decide to open 2 hours late, my kids will be home where their health won't be affected by the sub zero temperatures while walking that mile to and from school. It's pretty obvious that the Super doesn't care about kids' health at all if the school isn't closed. God forbid they might have to go a few days in the summer!

believe it

Maybe if you weren't on your computer typing this post you could go out and drive your kids to school?

unemployment co...

Ok, I'll take them, are you gonna pick them up for me when I'm at work at 3pm?

believe it

What a dumb response. You make arrangements to have your kids picked up...or there's a thing called a bus. Get your kids in school, they need it.

truckin

Well if you are not home and at work when your children are out of school??

That begs that they are old enough to stay by themselves, which in return means there not babies?? so stop treating them as if they are!

If they are mature enough to stay at home by themselves....surely they are smart enough to wear a hat and gloves!
Wake up.. let your children grow up!

jlm1944

Norwalk and Willard don't sit by the phone waiting for the call. Get your coats on dress warm because you have school.

TOPGUN01

I WENT TO SCHOOL IN NORWALK FROM 1960 TO 1972 AND NEVER LOST ANY DAYS FOR COLD WEATHER! AND HAD TO WALK 2 MILES?BUT! I WORE MY PANTS AROUND MY WAIST!PULL YOUR PANTS UP!!!AND GO TO SCHOOL

dswwtp

@topgun - amen to that!!

Windy

The wind chill is -15. I pray that no child gets frostbite while walking to school and that none of the busses break down. There is a wind chill WARNING until noon.

TOPGUN01

Most kids have there I phone in front of there face to block the wind!and body piercing to let the wind go through!!!

There is a difference from being a tough guy and having common sense. Apparently after reading a few responses, common sense is a major lacking trait for a few, TOPGUN01, jlm1944, believe it. I am all for kids going to school, however, 1,2 or 3 days is not going to matter. What if and only if you actually have a kid in school, they are killed or seriously injured do to the weather conditions because you are a tough guy??? Hmmmm, I bet your attitude will change then and you will be the first to file a lawsuit!

believe it

I've got plenty of common sense, don't you worry. I love how you bring up lawsuit in your comment though because that's all society is turning into, find anything you can sue for nowadays.

Foodforthought

believe it, yes that is what society is all about and it disgusts me. lazy ^%&%$$ cant get off their rears and work for a living. They would rather get what they can off others. Sounds like we agree on that LOL

believe it

Agreed
