HIGHWAY PATROL Jordan D. Johnson, 22, of Rocky River, was charged with failure to control after he went off the right side of Garfield Road and hit a culvert. He was not transported for minor injuries. Orlo W. Hartley Jr., 67, of 35 Cedar St., New London, hit a deer on Ohio 18 Thursday. Dana A. Moore, 44, of 1526 Townline Road 79, New London, was charged with failure to control after she went off the left side of Townline Road 79 north of Ohio 162 and hit a pole.

HIGHWAY PATROL

Jordan D. Johnson, 22, of Rocky River, was charged with failure to control after he went off the right side of Garfield Road and hit a culvert. He was not transported for minor injuries.

Orlo W. Hartley Jr., 67, of 35 Cedar St., New London, hit a deer on Ohio 18 Thursday.

Dana A. Moore, 44, of 1526 Townline Road 79, New London, was charged with failure to control after she went off the left side of Townline Road 79 north of Ohio 162 and hit a pole.

Michele A. Monroe, 24, of Huron, was charged with failure to control Friday after she went off the left side of Hartland Center Road and hit a ditch.

Regina D. Lucal, 48, of 5880 Fayette Road, New London, was charged with failure to control Sunday after she went off the right side of U.S. 250, which was snowy, and hit a ditch. Her pickup truck overturned onto its left side. A relative took her to Fisher-Titus Medical Center with minor injuries. Lucal was treated and released.

NORWALK FIRE

Assisted North Central EMS with a female patient with chest pain at 6:34 p.m. Friday at 67 W. Willard Ave. Returned to station at 6:48.

Found no signs of carbon monoxide during an investigation at 7:19 p.m. Friday at 13 State St. Returned to station at 7:36.

Responded to a small fire in the insulation below a manufactured home between the floor and subfloor at 4:15 p.m. Saturday at 103 Jefferson St. About the time the fire started, the electricity went out because a main line came down in the wind. Returned to station at 6:47.

Responded to a fire alarm set off by a child at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at 1734 N. Old State Road. Returned to station at 5:37.

Assisted North Central EMS with getting a patient into an ambulance at 8:47 p.m. Saturday at 18 White Tail Way. Returned to station at 9:01.

Responded to an alarm activation and shut off the sprinkler system to silence the alarm at 1:26 a.m. today. Returned to station at 2:31.

NORWALK POLICE

Jesus J. Sabala, 35, whose address was unavailable, was charged with driving under the influence and a loud music violation in connection with a Newton Street traffic stop Friday.

A Franklin Street resident reported an unruly foster child Friday. Police forwarded a report to Huron County Juvenile Court.

The manager of a Milan Avenue business reported the heads from two foaming brushes and two plastic warning signs were stolen Friday.

Sheila A. Bovee, 45, of Perrysburg, was arrested on a local probation violation warrant Saturday at the Northeast Pre-Release Center on the original charge of theft. She is serving a 90-day sentence at the Huron County Jail.

An Oak Street resident reported the theft of an Xbox 360 Black Elite video game system and 11 games Saturday. His roommate reported the theft of two Playstation 2 video game systems.

Responded to North West Street where a male suspect was accused of breaking things Saturday.

Harold E. Simon, 40, whose address was unavailable, was charged with criminal mischief Saturday in connection with damaging a woman's laundry by pouring bleach on it.

James C. Calhoun, 31, whose address was unavailable, was charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a Benedict Avenue incident Saturday and was released to a sober person.
