FIRELANDS OUTDOOR NOTEBOOK - Clever little foxes good entertainment for this outdoorsman

I like foxes. They're clever little predators who live by their wits and make their living seeking mice, rabbits and other small mammals. Grays are probably my favorite, foxes that range from 5 to 14 pounds, favor forests and heavy cover and are unusually picturesque with their slate gray bodies touched with russet and white. They can climb trees, too, at least fairly slender ones, and I often picture them as being more cat-like than doggish....
