A member of a crew working at a power-line installation site died yesterday morning in Madison County when a co-worker accidentally ran over him with a work truck, the State Highway Patrol said.

Nick Yurjevich Jr., 52, was with a crew unloading materials when a co-worker, Thomas Davis, 29, of Quaker City in Guernsey County, didn’t see him and backed over him with the truck he was driving.

Yurjevich, of Bergholz in Jefferson County, died at the scene along Simpson Road, northeast of London. It happened just before 9 a.m.

Davis has not been charged. The patrol said the investigation continues.

The patrol said both men were working for Moorhead Brothers, a general contracting firm based in South Carolina that specializes in clearing rights of way.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration was called to the scene to investigate. Simpson Road, south of I-70, was closed for about three hours.
