Huron County Sheriff Dane Howard at 4 a.m. today reduced the snow emergency for Huron County to a Level 1, effective until further notice.
A Level 1 alert means the roads are hazardous, with blowing and drifting snow. Roads also may be icy. Motorists are urged to drive very cautiously.
In Ohio, there are three levels of snow emergencies, with Level 1 being the least severe.
The county was put under a Level 2 last night.
