An Akron postal worker found the body of a 42-year-old man Tuesday while delivering mail.

The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified David W. Jones as the man whose body was discovered in a driveway in the 1300 block of Blackstone Avenue at 12:32 p.m.

An autopsy has found that the man’s death was related to record-breaking frigid temperatures in the region Tuesday.

The mail carrier who found the body asked a neighbor to call police. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no signs of trauma or foul play, said Gary Guenther, spokesman for the medical examiner’s office. A final cause of death is pending the arrival of lab results.
