A New London was jailed in Huron County, waiting to be picked up on Cleveland-area charges.

Jeffrey A. Duncan, 23, of 33 Park Ave., Apt. B, is charged with one count each of receiving stolen property, possession of criminal tools, criminal damaging and obstructing official business through Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court. Records also indicate the Cleveland Police Department was involved in the investigation.

Duncan was in Huron County Common Pleas Court last Thursday morning. Huron County Public Defender David Longo said Duncan is facing a probation violation and noted the charges aren't fresh.

"Apparently Mr. Duncan has been living here," Longo told Judge Jim Conway, but hasn't been in any trouble with local authorities.

"He was a passenger in a car which was stopped for a traffic violation," Longo said about Duncan's recent arrest.

Duncan was scheduled to appear in Cuyahoga County court Monday afternoon.
