A man pleaded innocent Monday during his arraignment in Huron County Common Pleas Court to having a stolen motor vehicle.

Scott A. Bivens II, 20, of 694 W. Townline Road 131, North Fairfield, is charged with receiving stolen property in connection with an Oct. 26 incident. If convicted, he faces six to 12 months behind bars.

Bivens earlier was unable to post 10 percent of a $5,000 bond. After Monday's hearing, Judge Jim Conway released the defendant on a personal recognizance bond and warned him that his behavior until the case is resolved will affect what he does at sentencing.

His trial date is Feb. 6.

Sad thing is...he will probably get probation. Then sooner or later be shot when stealing from someone else. Sad when you steal from family...churches...let alone strangers.
