HURON The Caryl Crane Children's Theatre will hold auditions for a musical version of "The Emperor's New Clothes," which will open the 21st season.

Auditions are scheduled from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Jan. 11 and 12 and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Jan. 13 in McBride Auditorium at BGSU Firelands.

Roles are available for ages 10 through adult. In this play, the actors act, sing and dance.

The action involves a prince seeking his true love with the aid of a Magic Mirror which causes everyone looking into it to speak the exact truth.

The musical will be directed by Dr. Ronald M. Ruble, Caryl Crane artistic director. Performance times and dates are 7:30 p.m. March 1, 2 and 3 and 2:30 p.m. March 4 in McBride Auditorium. For more information, call Ruble at (419) 433-5560.

Miniature of N.L. church

NEW LONDON A new miniature of the former New London Baptist Church is now available, thanks to the New London Area Historical Society.

The miniatures are $15 each and can be purchased at the library, Gilbert's Hardware and The Record office. Also, they can be ordered by mail from the New London Area Historical Society, in care of Vaughn Neel, treasurer, 210 E. Main St., New London, Ohio 44851. When ordering by mail, add $3 for shipping and $1.05 sales tax, if an Ohio resident.

Membership in the society is $10 for a single and $15 for a family and includes a subscription to the newsletter. Checks can be sent to the above address.

Troop donation

NEW LONDON Brownie Troop 912 has purchased a basketball hoop for Fisher-Titus Medical Center's pediatric therapy department, raising money through nut and candy sales.
