A Norwalk man accused of a crime in Wood County failed to show up to court and had a local warrant issued for his arrest last week.

Marc Moyer, 25, of 14505 E. Ohio 61, has posted a $50,000 bond at the Huron County Jail. Earlier he was ordered to go to Wood County Common Pleas Court by Friday if he posted bail, but Huron County Common Pleas Judge Jim Conway said Moyer didn't do that.

Moyer also wasn't in Conway's courtroom Dec. 9.

Huron County Public Defender David Longo was unaware the defendant had posted bond.

"I don't think we've had any contact with him," Longo said, referring to his office. "I have no idea where he is."

At the request of the state, Conway issued a warrant for Moyer's arrest Monday.

Moyer is charged with receiving stolen property through Wood County.
