Norwalk fire and city officials are saying it's safe for those living near St. Mary Catholic Church to return to their homes.

"This morning, the City of Norwalk was informed by construction engineers that the dismantling of the church steeple of St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church has eliminated the risk of catastrophic collapse of the bell tower," reads a letter to residents signed by fire chief John Soisson and service director Robert Patusky. The letter is dated Dec. 3.

I caint understand the huge urgency to protect the neighbors from the church falling on them but NO urgency to protect the children from the priests and the assistant wait, they were transferred to another parish.
