MONROEVILLE PD

Hailey L. Richard, 20, of 35 Fruen St., Norwalk, was arrested on a Sandusky Municipal Court warrant Dec. 21 during a North Street traffic stop. She was charged with failure to pay fines and costs and turned over to the Perkins Township Police Department.

Responded to a South Main Street domestic assault Dec. 23. There were no citations issued.

Bert Newsome Jr., 31, of 148 Atwood Terrace, Bellevue, was charged with driving under the influence and speeding in connection with a Dec. 24 traffic stop and released to a sober person.

Jason D. Beard, 29, of Tiffin, hit a deer Dec. 26 on U.S. 20 near South Peru Center Road.

NORWALK FIRE

Traced a burning electrical odor to a refrigeration unit of the meat department at 7:49 p.m. Tuesday at 171 Milan Ave. Firefighters shut off the related circuit breaker and the owner contacted the contractor to have the problem fixed. Returned to station at 8:30.

Assisted North Central EMS with loading a patient into an ambulance at 3:45 am. today at 143 Sycamore Drive. Returned to station at 4.

NORWALK POLICE

Ryan J. Balser, 24, of Port Clinton, was arrested on two warrants Tuesday and charged with failure to pay fines and costs. He currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

An East Chestnut Street resident reported the violation of a Dec. 11 temporary protection order Tuesday in connection with telephone harassment. The order was issued out of a domestic violence case. Police forwarded a report to the Norwalk Law Director's Office for the consideration of charges.

Arrested a 12-year-old Milan Avenue girl and her 15-year-old sister Tuesday and charged them with disorderly conduct in connection with a domestic violence incident. They were released to their mother. Police forwarded a report to the Huron County Prosecutor's Office and Huron County Juvenile Court.

A Park Avenue resident reported losing her purse and several credit cards at a Theater Drive business Tuesday.

A North Pleasant Street resident reported the theft of a pair of roller blade shoes at a North Foster street business Tuesday. After the juvenile suspect admitted to the offense, a juvenile probation officer forwarded a report to the Huron County Prosecutor's Office and Huron County Juvenile Court.

A West Washington Street resident reported the theft of his blue Next mountain bike at a Republic Street business Tuesday.

Several Westwind Drive employees requested police destroy three shotgun rounds and two rifle rounds they found while cleaning the sporting goods area Tuesday.

Arrested a 15-year-old East Main Street boy on two counts of domestic violence Tuesday and transported him to the Sandusky County Juvenile Detention Center. Police forwarded a report to the Huron County Prosecutor's Office and Huron County Juvenile Court.

SHERIFF'S OFFICE

The state Highway Patrol requested a deputy remove a dead deer from U.S. 20 Tuesday.

An employee of a U.S. 20, Monroeville, business reported the theft of money Tuesday.

An employee of an area business reported someone cut the lock off a Benedict Avenue construction trailer Tuesday.

An area resident reported his boss' vehicle, reported stolen through the Ashland County Sheriff's Office, was parked along a Ninevah Road, Greenwich, wooded area Tuesday.

An Edmonds Road, Bellevue, resident reported being threatened Tuesday.

Provided undisclosed assistance to the Willard Police Department on Fourth Street, Willard, Tuesday.

An Ohio 61, Plymouth, resident was concerned about the safety of her neighbor's children because her neighbors were yelling Tuesday. While responding to the complaint, a deputy determined Jeffrey L. Patton, 36, of 405 Park St., Willard, was wanted on a Crestline Police Department warrant. He was charged with driving with a suspended license and released.

Transported a 16-year-old North U.S. 250 girl to the Erie County Juvenile Detention Center after an unruly incident Tuesday at her home.
