The following local students have been named to the dean's list at Otterbein College for the 2006 autumn quarter: Norwalk: Jamisyn R. Hipp, parents are Jeffrey and Mary Ann Hipp; Jessica H. Hansen daughter of George Hansen and John P. McLaughlin son of Thomas and Cynthia McLaughlin. Students must be full-time with a grade-point average of at lest 3.60 to qualify for the dean's list. Kevin Weisenberger recently graduated from the University of Toledo's College of Engineering.

The following local students have been named to the dean's list at Otterbein College for the 2006 autumn quarter:

Norwalk: Jamisyn R. Hipp, parents are Jeffrey and Mary Ann Hipp; Jessica H. Hansen daughter of George Hansen and John P. McLaughlin son of Thomas and Cynthia McLaughlin.

Students must be full-time with a grade-point average of at lest 3.60 to qualify for the dean's list.

Kevin Weisenberger recently graduated from the University of Toledo's College of Engineering.

Lindsey M. McDonald of Norwalk graduated Dec. 16 from The University of Toledo with her master's degree in special education.

She is currently employed by Sandusky County Educational Service Center in Fremont as an Early Childhood Intervention Specialist at Atkinson Elementary.

Bridgette Knapp Bettoc graduated from Bowling Green State University 12/15 with a bachelor of science degree in middle grades education with concentration in science and social studies.

She is a 2001 graduate of South Central High School.

She is the daughter of the late Janelle Knapp of North Fairfield and the granddaughter of Lola Giles of Willard.

About 1,300 students received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in commencement exercises Dec. 16 at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. Local student Richard Michael Wearsch of Norwalk was among them with a master of science degree.

Sean McGuinness, husband of Carrie (Tanzillo) McGuinness, and son-in-law of Nancy and Bob Germond of Norwalk, recently received an associate of applied science in nursing degree from Paradise Valley Community College in partnership with John C. Lincoln Health Network. The degree was presented during the traditional lamplighting and pinning ceremony. He will now take the NCLEX exam to become a registered nurse. He will continue working at John C. Lincoln North Mountain once he is licensed as an RN.

Jennifer Tinney of Wakeman, is an officer of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) at Ashland University. She is the daughter of Michael and Theresa Tinney at Ashland University.

The following students are members of the Ashland University Choir: Mariagrace Flint of Greenwich; she is the daughter of Gary and Cynthia Flint. Katrina Klein of Bellevue; she is the daughter of C. Douglas and Cynthia Klein and is majoring in music education. Kathleen Matter of Monroeville; she is the daughter of Michael and Patricia Matter and is majoring in music education. Kameron Perry of New London; he is the son of Richard and Linda Perry and is majoring in computer science. Kevin Phillips of Greenwich; he is the son of Edward and Lynne Phillips and is majoring in music education. Melissa Siman of North Fairfield; she is the daughter of Dana and Sheilha Siman and is majoring in political science.
