A Norwalk man was cited in connection with being disruptive while police were investigating a suspected sex-related offense early Wednesday.
The Norwalk Police Department were dispatched to a Glover Avenue residence at 12:18 a.m. about a fight between two male suspects inside the home.
"The altercation occurred over allegations of sexual conduct between a 53-year-old man and an intoxicated 17-year-old female. Several members of the juvenile's family had arrived (there) to confront the subject," Capt. Dave Smith said in his report.
Ronald E. Hendricks, 42, of 25C Gallup Ave., arrived while officers were investigating.
Hendricks later was charged with obstructing official business in connection with what Smith called "his disruptive behavior at the scene and his refusal to leave the premises despite many warnings and orders to do so."
Capt. Mike Conney said Hendricks is a family member of the suspected victim, the girl.
"He kept interjecting himself with whatever was going on," said Conney, who wasn't sure if the suspect was intoxicated.
"Nobody else has been arrested so far," he added.
When asked about the sexual conduct allegations, Conney said the case remains under investigation.
Police forwarded a report to the Norwalk Law Director's Office for the consideration of charges.
