n David K. Scott, 38, of 829 Woodbine Ave., Willard, was charged with failure to control Sunday after he went off the left side of Ohio 61 and hit several small trees.

n Sun Cheng, 45, of 13 Timothy Ave., Willard, hit a deer Tuesday on Ridge Road.

n Kendra Bolyard, 19, of 17656 Gore Orphanage Road, Wakeman, was charged with failure to control Tuesday after she went off the left side if West River Road and a hit a tree before stopping in a yard. She wasn’t transported for minor injuries.

NORWALK FIRE

n Lit a pilot on a space heater for an elderly person who reported having no heat in the house at 11:10 a.m. Tuesday at 16 W. Elm St. Returned to station at 11:24.

NORWALK POLICE

n Rhonda S. Rexroad, 35, of 12604 Chapin Road, Berlin Heights, was charged with improper backing Tuesday after she hit the rear passenger side of the vehicle driven by David M. Singer, 52, of 1866 Greenwich Milan Townline Road, on West Elm Street.

n No citation was issued Tuesday after David D. Greenwell, 18, of 25 Newton St., lost control while heading south on Norwood Avenue. He spun sideways and a white, mid-sized four-door car behind him hit his driver’s door. Greenwell said he pulled the down the road to stop while the other driver turned around in a nearby driveway and fled the scene. The crash remains under investigation.

n A Jefferson Street resident reported her son, who is on probation through Huron County Juvenile Court, didn’t attend school and hadn’t been home Tuesday.

n A West Main Street resident reported a burglary Tuesday.

n A Christie Avenue resident reported a domestic dispute Tuesday.

SHERIFF’S OFFICE

n A Collins Road, Collins, landlord reported being threatened in connection with an eviction Tuesday.

n A West Ohio 162, Monroeville, resident reported a suspicious jeep parked near Greenfield Elementary School was joined later by another vehicle Tuesday. Both left heading south on Peru Center Road.

n The Wakeman Police Department requested assistance with a driver accused of refusing to stop near Ohio 60, Wakeman, Tuesday.

n The Wakeman Police Department received a report of a possible burglary at an East U.S. 20, Wakeman, business Tuesday. The complainant said there was a green and black truck backed up to the door.

n Residents on West Washington Street, Norwalk, and Willard West Road, Willard reported snowmobile drivers were trespassing on their property Tuesday.

n The Wakeman Police Department received a report from a U.S. 20, Wakeman, resident who said a snowmobile damaged her fence Tuesday.

n Dispatchers received a 9-1-1 hang-up call with static on the line Tuesday from U.S. 224, Willard. Dispatchers suggested the caller contact the phone company because of possible problems with the telephone line.

n Contacted a towing company for a tractor-trailer blocking the intersection of Ohio 99 and Townline Road 12, Willard, Tuesday.

n An estranged relative requested a deputy check on a Harrison Street, Wakeman, resident Tuesday because the complainant hadn’t heard from him for more than a week and a half.
