HIGHWAY PATROL n Travis Kovach, 23, of 2628 Collins Road, Collins, was charged with failure to control Friday after he went off the left side of Ogan Road and hit a culvert. His car overturned and hit a tree and fence before stopping in a field. Kovach is accused of fleeing the scene. He reported minor injuries, but wasn't transported.

HIGHWAY PATROL

n Travis Kovach, 23, of 2628 Collins Road, Collins, was charged with failure to control Friday after he went off the left side of Ogan Road and hit a culvert. His car overturned and hit a tree and fence before stopping in a field. Kovach is accused of fleeing the scene. He reported minor injuries, but wasn’t transported.

n Jennifer L. Ganzhorn, 27, of 28 Oakwood Drive, was charged with failure to control Saturday after she went off the left side of Ridge Road and hit a ditch, causing her sport utility vehicle to overturn. She and her passenger, Jessica Ganzhorn, 24, reported minor injuries, but weren’t transported.

n Andrew C. Collins, 25, of 1099 Harrison St., Wakeman, was charged with failure to control Saturday after he went off the right side of Zenobia Road and overturned. He was not injured.

n Deborah D. Montgomery, 50, of 29 1/2 Main St., No. 32, Greenwich, was charged with failure to control Sunday after she went off the right side of U.S. 224 and overturned into a ditch full of water. She reported possible injuries, but wasn’t transported.

n Mary K. Cole, 63, of Rochester, was charged with failure to control Monday after she went off an icy portion of Ohio 162 and hit a ditch. She reported minor injuries, but wasn’t transported.

NORWALK POLICE

n A Terry Arcade resident reported an undisclosed theft from a vehicle Monday.

n Scott Sims, 29, of Huron, was arrested on a probation violation warrant Monday. He currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

n A West Main Street resident reported someone damaged the lock of a Time Warner cable box Monday. The incident remains under investigation.

n Gloria A. Dendinger, 26, of 41 Grove Ave., was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance Monday after she hit the rear of the stopped vehicle driven by Joseph M. Mullins, 61, of 251 Edwards Road, North Fairfield, on Milan Avenue.

NORWALK FIRE

n Found an overheated heater motor in a room during a smoke detector activation investigation at 4:03 a.m. today at Fisher-Titus Medical Center. The maintenance crew had pulled the motor out of the unit by the time firefighters arrived. Returned to station at 4:09.

SHERIFF’S OFFICE

n The owner of an Ohio 162, Willard, business requested a deputy check with the owner of an Oldsmobile parked there since Thursday.

n A North Williamson Road, Muncie, business employee reported an undisclosed theft Monday.

n An East U.S. 20, Wakeman, resident reported an unruly juvenile Monday.

n Responded to a vehicle in a North Butler Road, Wakeman, ditch Monday.
