ELYRIA — The big guns of Monroeville did as expected at the McNulty Invitational.

So it was up to the other guys to step up, which they did leading the Eagles to the team title at the two-day event at Elyria Catholic High School.

“We like this tournament because you get a lot of matches,” Monroeville coach Scott Bauer said. “We got a lot of good film on the guy and they all won some matches which was huge to build some confidence.”

The Eagles topped the 16-team event with 356 points, just 19 ahead of runner-up Greenview with Jackson-Milton in third with 269. Brookfield was fourth with 263 and Wellington was fifth with 233.
