Free admission at museums today

Local museums participating in Smithsonian Magazine's annual Museum Day Live include Firelands Historical Society, Edison Birthplace and Milan museums.

Museum-goers can head to to download a free ticket for Smithsonianmagazine’s Museum Day Live!.

A ticket grants free admission today to the ticket holder plus a guest to participating museums across all 50 states. The event celebrates knowledge and fun through the nation’s wide array ofmuseums and cultural institutions.

More than 1,500 museums are participating nationwide, including the following in Ohio:

-Akron Fossils & Science Center
-Dennison Railroad Depot Museum
-Edison Birthplace Museum
-Milan Museum
-Historic Schoenbrunn Village
-Firelands Historical Society
-Salem Historical Society Museum
-The Arms Family Museum of Local History
-Historic Zoar Village
