A rural Monroeville woman convicted of having heroin is now accused of misusing her mother's credit card.

Holly A. Daniel, 22, of 2165 Dogtown Road, Monroeville, entered a "not guilty" plea Monday to misuse of a credit card in connection with incidents on July 22 and Aug. 3. Her Huron County Common Pleas Court trial is set for Nov. 14.

Huron County Prosecutor Russell Leffler, at the arraignment, said the case involves Daniel using the information from her mother's credit card to open another one and using the PIN to obtain about $1,500 at several locations.

"Holly Daniel (was) ... using a family member's credit card to support her heroin addiction and purchase other items for herself," Huron County Sheriff's Detective Sgt. Josh Querin said earlier. "She has been using the credit card at various locations throughout Huron and Erie counties."

At the prosecutor's request, Judge Jim Conway lifted the previous no-association order involving Daniel's mother.

The defendant had her bond revoked in connection with a separate case Aug. 20.

In late June, Daniel was sentenced to 90 days on the work release program in the Huron County Jail for possession of heroin. As part of her three years of probation, she was fined $250 and had her driver's license suspended.

After her June 26 sentencing date, she failed to report to the probation office and then "accumulated new charges," Conway said earlier.

On Aug. 11, Daniel and a 31-year-old Sandusky man were arrested at a Milan Avenue grocery store in Norwalk. Deputy Josh Kaufman had set up surveillance and then arrested Daniel inside the store before the suspected heroin sale could take place.

Nine days later, Conway revoked Daniel's bond.

For smack addicts, usually ONE visit from the Grim Reaper.

But as we heard when she was arrested, she is a good person who made a mistake. It is not her fault, she has had a rough life and a hit a bad time in her life. She is just misunderstood. She is super sorry, wants help and some time at Club Rehab.

It looks like she's been playing with a Spiro graph ... way too much.

Sad part is, if she played with a Spiro Graph like we did she probably wouldn't be a loser heroin junky piece of crap like all the other junky heroin heads!

Looks like she is sooooo sorry for what she has done.... Ha! She's probably thinking, " Oh well.... the judge will let me off easy... always does!"

Scranton Tibbs

She looks as though she may give you something you couldn't wash off.
