Two children were removed from a South Toledo home and are in foster care after a man allegedly performed a sex act in front of a 3-year-old.

Lucas County Children Services removed the children Tuesday after the suspect, Najee Bryant, 24, was arrested by police.

Children Services Executive Director Dean Sparks said the children are not related to the suspect but are known to him.

The child protection agency has not had any prior contact with the family.

Mr. Bryant of 443 Southcrest St. is charged with gross sexual imposition and pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, making false alarms, and two counts of aggravated menacing.

He was arraigned Wednesday in Toledo Municipal Court and was ordered to remain in the jail in lieu of $275,000 bond.

Court documents allege that the suspect recorded a cell-phone video of himself performing the act in front of the child Sept. 17.

The suspect is also accused of calling 911 on Sept. 17 and reporting that he had a gun and saying that if police did not come to the Southcrest address, he would shoot two different men.

When police arrived, the suspect allegedly told police he did not have a gun but said he did because he wanted police to arrive quickly.

It's not clear what prompted police to look at the cell phone to find the video.

The suspect is to appear in court again Wednesday.

thank God it wasn't Sandusky county.. I know of a woman that did the same thing and she didn't get any jail time.. they removed 3 of her 4 children but left the youngest one cause he couldn't talk to say he saw anything.. which always I disagreed with cause all 4 should have been removed... wonder if when Lynn read this did she think of herself? hmmmm
