An area woman faces charges of resisting arrest and criminal damaging after allegedly screaming obscenities at officers, trying pull away from them, kicking at the door of a cruiser, damaging the back passenger side.
"While officers were trying to remove her, she kicked the cruiser door into the police department van," reads a police report. "The back passenger side of the van was damaged when she did this.
A police officer didn't return a call seeking comment as to how much damage the suspect allegedly inflicted
Jennifer L. Bostic, 26, of Huron, was arrested just before 4 a.m. Friday in connection with disorderly conduct (intoxication). The arrest came after an officer located her allegedly sleeping in the roadway at the intersection of West Water Street and Benedict Avenue.
Bostic was taken to the Huron County Jail to be held for bond on charges of resisting arrest and criminal damaging.
Police have forwarded the matter to the law director for the consideration of charges.
