Salon to close Dec. 13 for holidays

AVERY - Seniors in the cosmetology program at EHOVE Career Center will offer beauty shop services to the public in the school salon until Dec. 13. The salon will resume operation Jan. 15 due to exams. Hours are from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. (for chemical services including perms, color and straightening) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Instructors are on hand to guide students as they practice their skills for the Ohio cosmetology state board exams, a requirement to obtain a license to practice cosmetology. The Ohio cosmetology board exams are intense, day-long sessions consisting of a two-hour written exam and five hours of hands-on practicals.
