HIGHWAY PATROL n No citation was issued Nov. 28 after there was a fire throughout the 2007 Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by Robert W. Gorby, 43, of Sandusky, who was heading northwest on Ohio 601. He went off the right side and hit a mailbox. Gorby wasn't transported for possible injuries.

HIGHWAY PATROL

n No citation was issued Nov. 28 after there was a fire throughout the 2007 Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by Robert W. Gorby, 43, of Sandusky, who was heading northwest on Ohio 601. He went off the right side and hit a mailbox. Gorby wasn’t transported for possible injuries.

NORWALK FIRE

n Extinguished a snow blower fire at 2:43 p.m. Tuesday at 238 Whittlesey Ave. Returned to station at 3:15.

NORWALK POLICE

n The former owner of a Milan Avenue business reported scratched paint on the tailgates of three vehicles and two radio antennae masts were bent on two Jeeps within the last week. There also is a missing spare tire from a 2005 Dodge Ram pickup truck, which had its tire holder hanging to the pavement and profanity scratched into the right half of the hood of a 2007 Jeep Nitro. The complainant also showed an officer that someone tampered with the lock with the door lock cylinder on the double doors of the north show room.

n Sheila A. McDonald, 44, whose address was unavailable, was charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a North Prospect Street disturbance Tuesday.

   

SHERIFF’S OFFICE

n A Sylvia Court, Willard, resident reported the theft of a check Tuesday.

n Responded to a disturbance in connection with a disturbance in the lobby of the sheriff’s office Tuesday. Robert L. Criss, 48, of 590 Emerald St., Willard, currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail on charges of menacing, resisting arrest and persistent disorderly conduct.

n Responded to a disabled vehicle Tuesday on Ohio 162, Monroeville.

n Dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call from a Peru Olena Road resident who suspected he was being followed by someone in a red and white Chevrolet truck Tuesday. He also reported seeing a tall and slender male suspect in a “Zorro hat” who fled when the complainant spotted him at home near his truck, which has had antifreeze leaking from it.

n A Willard firefighter reported seeing a vehicle following too closely and crossing the center line Tuesday on Ohio 99, Willard. Donald Shepherd, 45, of 2743 Fisher Ave., Willard, later was charged with driving with a suspended license and driving with fictitious plates and had his vehicle towed. He currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.
