A new Subway restaurant will be opening on the south side of Norwalk, possibly as early as this month.

Denny Camp is one of the members of Norwalk Professional Colony, which is leasing 257 Benedict, building A for the new restaurant. Camp said Resley & Resley Inc., of Huron, will operate the restaurant.

Bob Resley is the head of the business. His son, Sean Resley, is now working to get the new Subway up and running. Resley & Resley operates more than 10 Subway restaurants.

Camp said the building in the past has been used by Fisher-Titus Medical Center or by doctors, but the addition of a restaurant on the south side of town will be welcome. The building was last used by Fisher-Titus for computer operations, but that department moved out last spring.

Why don't you people prepare your own foods instead of relying on this processed, food-like crap you get from places like McDonald's, Burger King and Subway? The top selling drugs out there are for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, reflux, etc. -- the crap we're putting into our bodies is killing us. Eat food -- real food -- mostly plants, not too much.

And to say it's none of my business what you eat is wrong. When you wind up in the hospital for your bypasses it drives up insurance costs for all of us.

scared of applebees or the new taco hell? why do they need two stores in this small town? must be the big job growth opportunity in the fast food bussiness, since with the expansions of low paying jobs in our town shouldnt the rent or cost of living go down in our area? im so greatfull for our economic director, id love to see a good paying corporation bring in some good paying manufactering jobs. hope some subway manager can check my spelling for me. but again our local government wants a tax base. dont care what it pays employees. then want a tax increase and wonder whats so wrong here.

Exactly it is the race to the bottom. This helps breed class problems, slumlords, crime etc. REAL revenue comes from REAL jobs. Don't have any green businesses, any forward thinking / progressive jobs. Just stay at the same old things. This is one of the many reasons Huron County keeps being economically diminished. With single parent households and a host of other social problems, get ready America - it is only a few years away - we WILL pay for problems we can't afford .

Way to go subwa...

I am so glad that there is going to be a subway on that side of town. All that is over there is fast food joints. Although subway is fast food it is at least a healthier choice out of all of it. The one in Walmart is nice but by the time you get off of work at noon, drive all the way across town which can take up to 20 minutes at noon, find a parking place and walk all the way into the store, stand in line and then wait for your food, walk back out to your car, get back through town which can also take another 15 or so minutes, park your car at work, walk back into the lunch room, sit down to eat, your late for work. Forget eating. Yeah, you get the workout for lunch but you still need to eat. Thanks Subway.

Need a ryans steak house. now thats getting your moneys worth.

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwww...

ryans?? the meat is so tough! they have all you can eat steak, but they don't tell you it's round steak, which requires a ton of cooking time in order for it to be tender. they rub a ton of msg on it to tenderize it and then THAT tenderizer sits and rots in your gut...they have good rolls and butter, i'll give you that.

Oh nothing will replace berry's they are so good mmm. I hope they will put stinky dinkies all over this county. MMmm.

I like Tater Tots!

yea Ryan's (Ano...

yum I just LOVE the thought of sliding my plate down the glass covered "food bar" to then pick cold, hard, day old left overs that have a mixture of other people's germs.
Just to stick my fingers in everything and taste test it all!! YUM YUM. Not to mention that most people do not practice proper handwashing. That way I can ingest every virus and bacteria known to man! Now that's your moneys worth. And as for MSG...yummy. I often wonder why there aren't servings of that itself! Did somebody mention steak? has it ever even been labled as beef? I think it is trick steak. ( deer meat). Never have been there, never had any desire..I'll take subway over mixed leftovers anyday! I guess you could in a way look at subway like a Ryan's buffet, the real vegetables might throw you off though? Just make sure to xtra fat kid sauce on every sub! (mayo) I heard it's great for the arteries!

Ryans is a great place to eat.. you definately get a good variety of great food!!! maybe that is what should go in where Giant Eagle is now...??????

Re: Kitchen King...Berry's??? Are you kidding me? I haven't given them my business in years, they treat their customers like second class citizens, and if you are not a rich buddy the Berry men won't even give you smile or a thank you as you pay on your way out...not to mention the food is average...to top it off they have a contest to name their bar with the community sending in names...guess what??? Not of their customer's or local residents names were good enough, they named it themselves and called it the dinky!!! Sorry but I say welcome to Applebee's and Subway and goodbye Berry's!!!!

re/no way (Anon...

I do agree with you hence the name stinky dinky. Berrries is on its way out . 5-7 years.
