Trojans remain unbeaten with 63-52 Firelands COnference win over Mounties

ASHLAND - South Central broke the game wide open in the fourth quarter Friday night, as the Trojans downed Mapleton 63-52 in the Firelands Conference opener for both teams. The visitors led just 20-18 at the half, and 35-33 at the end of the third period, but outscored the Mounties 28-19 in the final frame to put it into the win column.

 ASHLAND — South Central broke the game wide open in the fourth quarter Friday night, as the Trojans downed Mapleton 63-52 in the Firelands Conference opener for both teams.

The visitors led just 20-18 at the half, and 35-33 at the end of the third period, but outscored the Mounties 28-19 in the final frame to put it into the win column.

“We played outstanding in the second half,” said SC coach Pat Durham. “We shared the ball well and did a good job of feeding each other in fast break situations.”
