A Norwalk driver accused of drunk driving this weekend faces several charges after an area traffic stop.
Donald E. Resor Jr., 31, of 29 Jefferson St., was charged with driving under the influence (DUI), speeding, a seatbelt violation and failure to reinstate in connection with the Sandusky County traffic stop at 7:45 a.m. Friday.
Sgt. Jason Demuth, of the state Highway Patrol, stopped Resor after he said the driver was going 76 mph in a 55 mph zone on U.S. 20.
Resor, who reportedly refused to submit to a breath test, has prior DUI convictions in 2004 and 2010, according to the patrol.
Overall in Ohio during the Labor Day weekend, the patrol reported aggressive driving citations were up more than 67 percent with 3,727 drivers cited and DUI arrests were up 9 percent with 762 drivers arrested.
