Lay members of the congregation will lead the 11 a.m. worship during the pastor's absence. Large print and children's bulletins will be available. First Presbyterian

This Sunday during the 10:45 worship service the church will observe Christ the King Sunday as it concludes the church liturgical calendar year. Special music will be presented by Hodge Podge, the church instrumental ensemble and the Westminster Voices.

During the 9:30 hour in the Great Room, Chris and Heather Nadolny will give a presentation on their ministry with Campus Crusade for Christ on the campus of the University of Minnesota.

The community is invited to celebrate the beginning of Advent during the 9:30 hour Dec. 2 in the Fellowship Hall with ADVENTures. There will be activities for all ages to help usher in the Advent season including a family Christmas craft project, advent wreath making and cookie decorating.

St. Mary/St. Anthony

Coffee, juice, and doughnuts will be served following the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Mass at St. Mary tomorrow.

The 55-plus club will be holding its annual holiday prayer service at St. Mary beginning at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

First United Methodist

Gingerfest Christmas Carnival hosted by this church will be from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Dec. 9 at Norwalk Bronson Conservation Club. This family event will include going through the Gingerbread village, making a craft and enjoying tasty snacks. Local nursing home residents will benefit from the event as they will receive gifts collected by the Logos children. Services will be held at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 24.

Clarksfield UMC

CLARKSFIELD This church, located at 5151 Zenobia Road, will have services at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The Rev. Patty Jo Sheldon's sermon will be "You Can't Be Saved and Stay the Same."

The Logos choir will sing during the service their parents are invited to attend.

Also, there will be a potluck dinner following the service at the church basement.

St. Paul Episcopal

Worship and church school are at 8:30 a.m. Sunday. The study group meets at 7 p.m. Thursday.
