Two people were injured in a traffic accident Friday morning in southern Huron County.

Russell Boyda, 23, was flown by helicopter to St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo after an accident Friday morning on U.S. 250 south of Norwalk near the Ashland County border. Boyda's condition was unknown Friday night.

Boyda's 1995 Dodge Neon went left of center as he was traveling northbound on U.S. 250, according to the Mansfield post of the state Highway Patrol, which now handles dispatch duties for the Norwalk post. Boyda's vehicle hit a 2002 Ford 250 truck driven by Mark Vogus, 30, who was traveling southbound on the highway.

Vogus was also injured in the accident, but a Patrol dispatcher did not have any further information on his injuries because the accident report had not been completed before press time.
