A teenage Norwalk driver was cited in connection with failing to yield while crossing U.S. 20 near Young Road.

Austin J. Draper, 16, of 4325 River Road, was westbound on U.S. 20 at 8:37 p.m. Wednesday. Troopers with the state Highway Patrol reported he turned left into a crossover, failed to yield and continued to cross U.S. 20.

John A. Borsick, 16, of 516 Old State Road, who was eastbound, took evasive to avoid a collision with Draper, but was unable to slow down, troopers said.

Both vehicles stopped on the south side of U.S. 20.

The 1995 Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck driven by Draper had minor damage, but wasn't towed away. Dendinger Bros. Car Care Center towed the 2003 Dodge Caravan driven by Borsick from the scene with disabling damage.

Draper was charged with failure to control.
