Imagine the chemistry possibilities between two performers who not only share with each other the love of music, but each other.

You might witness that chemistry if you attend the 7:30 p.m. Wednesday performance featuring Jamestown at the Norwalk Theatre.

The husband and wife duo of Dave and Jill James will perform original country music compositions and a couple others. Their musical accompaniment includes Jeff Denney on drums, Judy Pastva on bass, Jerry MacDonald on keyboards and Rick Troyer on steel guitar.

"It feels so good knowing he's right there next to me," Jill James said. "He's my hero.

Dave James returned the favor.

"It looks like one of the greatest experiences ever," he said about performing with his wife. "It's like all great things rolled up together."

The couple have been married a little more than a year, but have formed a partnership in life and music, writing and performing together for the past few years.

Jill is a multi-talented singer, songwriter and guitar player who has opened for country recording acts Hot Apple Pie and Emerson Drive. She competed in the Colgate Country Showdown last year and won the local, state and regional level. She performed in the National Finals with country music singer and songwriter LeAnn Rimes.

Dave James is an accomplished guitarist, singer and songwriter. He has released seven CDs and opened for numerous national acts, including: Billy Ray Cyrus, Charlie Daniels, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Joe Diffie, Martina McBride and others.

Together, Dave and Jill James presently hold the state title for Ohio in the Colgate Country Showdown. The competition is designed to find the most promising country music talent in America and to give those performers a chance to launch their professional music careers.

The couple also own Curtain Call Productions, which offers acting and singing lessons for youngsters.

Mayor Sue Lesch said she hopes Jamestown's performance Wednesday is just the start of live, local entertainment in the Maple City.

"Anytime we can get live entertainment in town that's a good thing," Lesch said. "People in the community look for that." IF YOU GO

Yeah, she's a lil' bit country, he's a lil' bit rock and roll...I still say they suck.

Sounds like someone is envious. Whenever someone in Norwalk does good the losers jump in with some negativity.
Small people always try to belittle the winners.

Dear Big Eared ...

Yeah, I'm jealous of some Matt Missey wannabe. Pahleeeeeeease. If they're so good, send them on to American Idol.

Matt Missey? Doesn't he play chainsaw?
I'll bet you actually watch American Idol, don't you?

I would pay big bucks to hear everyone who is knocking them up on stage. Come on, let's hear YOU perform!

Matt Missey... ...

Yes. And very well. I don't understand his relevance here?

Perhaps they ar...

knocked on here because allegedly they dumped their spouses for each other.

Dear I've never...

You wrote "I would pay big bucks to hear everyone who is knocking them up on stage" KNOCKING THEM UP ON STAGE??? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL! That's a whole different show!

I went to this concert and it was totally awesome. They both are fantastic singers and musicians. Norwalk needs more entertainment like this. Keep up the great work Dave and Jill.

local celebrity...

I went to this concert, too. Where were all the people who say there's nothing to do in Norwalk? Sitting at home pouting while the rest of us had a great time. Now they are trying to knock 2 local people who are excellent entertainers. People that criticize excellence just show their own stupidity.

Whatever (Anonymous)

maybe people with morals didnt go because they dont approve of having affairs on your spouse and dumping them and upheaving their childrens lives.

swiss family......

te:whatever.....i didn't think that what happens in their private lives was an issue, i thought it was all about rating them as performers.. i thought that he was just trying to entertain people, not trying to become the next pope....

first stone (An...

What? Are we talking about the same people here?

Hey swiss (Anon...

go find some kids to torment and keep your pie hole shut nobody cares what you think.

HeeHaw (Anonymous)

There you go. It's entertainment for Norwalk. I don't know how crazy about the idea of them leaving each others spouses for each other, and I agree, she looks young enough to be his daughter. He ain't no Roy Clark or Buck Owens, but he'll do in a pinch.

Who really care...

Who cares who is screwing who, or who left who for who. I'm begining to realize that people around these parts can't stand it when someone is happy or is doing something well. Misery loves company. And by the looks of these forums there is a whole lot of company.

re who really c...

are you related to these two or friends with them? Or are you one of them? It doesn't have anything to do with anyone being miserable and loving company it is about right and wrong. Obviously you must screw around on your spouse since you think it is ok.

See that's how ...

How do you even know if I am married or not? Right or wrong it's STILL none of YOUR business. Who are you to judge. Have you never done something wrong in your life? I would love to meet a perfect person. And yes, it is indeed about misery loving company. If you were happy with your life you wouldn't be so concerned with theirs. I'll let you know if I screw around on my spouse (current or future, it's none of your business) so that you can feel better about your miserable life.

Oh, and for the...

I don't know these people at all. Never seen them before this article.

Yeah whatever (...

you are awfully sensitive about comments about them. What your post tells me is YOU are the miserable one. It is my choice whom I want to support. I choose not to fund two cheaters. As for concerned with their lives I am not again I choose not to give them any of my money. Happy yes I am. As for you and your life you arent sh!t.

first stone (An...

What a small, mean person whatever is! And certainly not moral.

re first stone ...

so you are in agreement then adultry is ok ?

Re Whatever: (A...

I'm not sensitive about these people. I don't know them as I already told you. You are a bitter nasty person from what I can tell. You don't know anything about me however you make ASSumptions about why I have the opinion I have. Are you bitter because your spouse/lover cheated on you? How's that for an assumption?

And no one is saying adultry is ok. But we aren't the ones to be doing the judging now are we?

re re whatever....

Your comments imply you think it is ok. No I am not bitter nobody cheated on me. It doesnt mean I go hand money over for something I dont approve of. Have you ever read a bible? Apparantly not. Once again I am not judging anyone but I dont have to support something that is not right. That is my right. Also everyone has a right to their own opionon. I am not bitter or nasty that is your ASSumption. If you dont like people standing up for up for what they believe in go crawl in a hole somewhere. FYI you do sound very sensitive about them.

Better thump th...

You certainly don't sound like you live by it. My comments imply that it's no one's business who is sleeping with who unless it's your man or your woman. You don't want to give them your money FINE. I never said that was wrong. I don't care what you do with your money. Shove it where the sun doesn't shine for all I care. I don't approve of holier than thou attitudes like the one you have. That is MY right. And yes I have read the bible. That is why I know adultry is wrong, and sinful. That is also why I know that is none of my business when it concerns others, for I am not the one they need to answer to. Quit trying to make yourself sound like you live by the Lord when it is very apparent by your postings that you don't.

Re: Whatever (A...

Love thy neighbor. Try it. It's better than being bitter. I think you might find that in the bible too.

You might find ...

things if you read a bible. I dont think you are supposed to turn a blind eye to things either. No they don't have to answer to us. I dont have a holier than thou attitude but I do have standards. I am a professional and I carry myself in that manner in all things. I do what is right. I help people as much as anyone can. If more people did what was right this world would be a far better place to live.
