An Akron man was sentenced to eight months in prison Tuesday for stealing some electronics from the Norwalk Walmart.

Edward T. Hervet, 40, pleaded guilty to the April 21 incident during Tuesday’s hearing in Huron County Common Pleas Court.

Judge Jim Conway followed the joint recommendation between Huron County Assistant Prosecutor Richard Woodruff and Huron County Public Defender David Longo.

Hervet also must pay about $1,672 in restitution to Walmart.

What is really sad here is this thief is getting more prison time than all of these drug dealers.

Ain't it tho!

Couldn't agree more, but by the looks of the picture it was drug related.

That's encouraging to know that a thief gets prison time while a drug dealer and/or dope head gets rehabilitation. Oh my bad, silly me, stealing isn't a disease in Norwalk but putting drugs in your body is.....rolling eyes.
