Illegally-set traps anger hunter

I recently ran into a situation while out coon hunting with my dog Nov. 11 on Snyder Road in Peru Township. I turned my 9-month-old pup loose and started walking in the direction that I thought she was going. But she made one bark off to the east of me and I did not hear her anymore. I stood there for about 15 minutes but all along I could hear a dog which I thought was a house dog barking. It sounded very muffled, so I started walking in that direction. When I got on top of a ravine I could make it out better it was my dog sounding as if it was suffocating. I found it in a body-gripping trap. By this time it was limp and no longer moving. I hurried and got it out and in a few minutes she came around. I called the O.D.N.R. and they sent somebody out and checked the body-griping trap. They confirmed it was illegal. This thing had a jaw spread of seven inches and if my dog would have been in for another five minutes it would have suffocated. This trap was on dry land, they are supposed to be completely submerged in water. We found three more close by.

I can not believe this is the only dog or other domesticated animal that you have caught in a illegal set trap.

please forgive me for not having alot of sympathy for you , i do however feel badly for your dog, let me see if i got this right// you were out hunting, which i guess i define as killing helpless animals, and you took your dog with you to help you track and kill these helpless animals, then your dog stepped in a trap , and was almost killed.. and you want me to feel badly for you ?? are you kidding me?? next you will be hunting for dogs, because they are helpless animals as well... i do feel badly that your dog has to be exposed to this kind of treatment, but it is ultametly your fault !!!!

Oh for crying o...

ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? YOU would feel that way, Robinson. Do you eat meat? Do you wear leather shoes? Killing 'helpless' animals?? Com'on! The world would be OVERRUN with wild animals if it weren't for the hunters. What is exactly WRONG with you? This guy is doing us a favor by hunting. Hunting isn't illegal. People who hunt help the planet, they don't hinder it. I LOVE animals, I'm a sucker for dogs. I watch the Dog Whisperer religiously. This poor man's dog was caught in an ILLEGAL trap. Get you head out of your BUTT and grow up! You are the most IGNORANT poster on here, everybody yells at you all the time. Is it any wonder??? You are such an ignorant p.o.s.

re:T$Robinson.....

yeah, you need to get a brain. maybe when you get to oz, you could kill the scarecrow and take his brain. btw, dorothy didn't have a sister to drop a house on, idiot.

NRA Lover (Anon...

There's nothing wrong with hunting wild animals. This part of Ohio alone would be overrun with deer and coons, just to name a few. That's life, and you ain't Snow White, so give it a rest, T$Robinson.

BIgD (Anonymous)

yes, what they said you dumb#&s....get a life, your always on here defending drug dealers ....now ridiculing hunters.....stfu.....please

Bambi$Robinson ...

I figured as much, T$Robinson/swissfamily would make a stupid comment like that. Imagine if there was no hunting, because small minded people think the poor little animals will suffer,(as if the hunter 'tortures' animals) you think Norwalk is overrun with stray cats? No, because they would be eaten by bigger and better animals. Narrowminded fools like swiss have absolutely no education when it comes to what makes the world go 'round.

To: T$Robinson ...

You're a friggin' idiot!! Have you any idea what happens when us coonhunters up and quit? Do you have domestic animals at your home, how about small children? Are you aware what rabies/distemper makes a wild animal do? Maybe a little more research before you go shooting your mouth off will save you some embarrassment! Yes, I coonhunt, Yes, like Carson Jones I own hounds. To Carson, I'm sorry about your hound! I hope you find out who's trap that was. See ya at the next hunt!!.....RdNkPrincess

hows the dog? (...

Is your dog feeling better? I hate to see an animal in pain.

Leave it to Bea...

I hope your dog is better, too, Mr. Jones. It's a horrible thing to have happen to a pup on her first rounds of the hunting season.

Re: how the dog...

i hate to break this to you but i think the story said the dog went limp. sorry about your dog dude.

Well.. (Anonymous)

I don't like it when people hunt, but I guess I understand the need to. I hope your dog gets better. By the way was it on his property? Did the land owners know it was there?

RE:well (Anonymous)

People don't "need" to hunt anymore. It is a outdoor sport. It is something we look forward for during the seasons. Just like baseball or football it is a seasonal sport.
Ever hear the saying "it's the thrill of the hunt"?

Was it (Anonymous)

was it a wishbone dog? Jack Russells right?

"By this time it was limp and no longer moving. I hurried and got it out and in a few minutes she came around." Do you got it now?? how the dog...lolololol

hey BigD (Anonymous)

i'll bet T$Robinson knows fur prices. she'll probably come on here as 'fur family...' or 'mink guzzler'. she'll complain the price of fur is too high, and Norwalk should boycott buying Norwalk fur until the price comes down, because you can get fur cheaper in Avery or Monroeville.

gas guzzler... ...

to the Norwalk gas consumers, i hope that you are paying attention to whats going on in town with the price of gas. for awhile there the Norwalk dealers were aware that we were watching what they were charging us, compared to what we were being charged by the dealers for the surrounding area.so, they lowered their prices to be more comretative with them , and to appease us all, but now time has passed, and they think that we are not paying attention again , so they are trying to sneak that increase in while we aren't paying attention..but we still are paying close attention ... on friday the price of gas in Lorain and Sandusky was set at $3.04 while in Norwalk, the price was from $3.13 to $#.19 per gallon.. shame on you Norwalk dealers!!! Iam not suggesting that anyone make a special trip out of town to just buy gas in Sandusky, or Avery or Fitchville, or Monroeville, but i usually travel through there at least once or twice a week.. so please pay close attention to what the prices are in Norwalk, before you leave town, and if it is cheaper away from here, i will usually fill up where i find it to be the cheapest, and i hope that you will too, and i can almost always bet that Norwalk will be the higher priced... shame on you Norwalk dealers, for overcharging your family, your friends and your neighbors!!

That is so funny!

T$Robinson.... ...

OK, i will have to admit it when i am wrong!! I guess i didn't think it all the way through, you are right.. this area would be over populated with deer if they weren't hunted and killed!! I am sure that the deer are actually thankful that they are being shot and taken away from their herd, and have a quick and awful death, as opposed to just dying naturally.. so on behalf of all of the killed animals, by hunters.. i would like to officially thank all of the kind hunters who took away their lives, and ended their seemingly worthless existance, instead of letting them live a full and natural life.. THANK YOU to all of the hunters !!! thank you for killing us !!! lolol get real !! and i would like to assure the one poster on here.. i am sure that hunters would never want to torture any animals!! i am positive it wasn't a hunter that put the illegal trap out there !! i wish i could see things from your view... but i don't think i can put my head that far up mu butt !!!

T$Robinson aka ...

Trust us your head IS that far up your butt!!!

you are the biggest dork in the world, hands down, no questions asked. you just proved it again. lmao at you!

swiss families....

OK, i will have to admit it when i am wrong!! I guess i didn't think. you are right.. this area would be over populated with me if i weren't hunted!! I am sure that the swiss families are actually thankful that they are being made fun of and taken away from their work, and have a quick and painful life, as opposed to just dying from being a tool... so on behalf of all of the swiss families, .. i would like to officially thank all of the families, and my seemingly worthless existance. THANK YOU to all of the posters !!! i am positive it was a swiss family that put the illegal tool out there !! i wish i could see. but i put my head up mu butt!!!

I don't care if the little animals suffer or not, I just love killing them. I love the NRA, they are true Americans, they stand up for my right to kill things. It's legal and you can't stop me, haha. Nothin' like getting that critter in my sights and just blasting him. I always shoot better after I've had a few beers.

re:Lillie Chaos...

Hot dang, mee too!!!

BigD..............

thats what im talking about....lil buzz.....stalker mode kickin in.....aaaah.....beware lil creatures......legalized killing....how much better can it be?

How to get rid ...

Hire the Brant's to scout the woods for the traps. They'll "collect" each one and trade them in to Lichstein's for scrap metal. There's your answer.
