The National Weather Service has issued the following hazardous weather outlook for today for Huron County and the surrounding areas:

A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS THE LOCAL AREA TONIGHT. A COUPLE
ROUNDS OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL OCCUR THROUGH TONIGHT.
SOME OF THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE SEVERE. THE MAIN SEVERE WEATHER
THREATS WILL BE FROM DAMAGING STRAIGHT LINE WINDS AND LARGE HAIL.

LOCALIZED HEAVY RAIN MAY OCCUR THROUGH TONIGHT CAUSING
SOME MINOR FLOODING.

Tonight Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 7pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. Southwest wind 7 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Thursday A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. Northeast wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Thursday Night A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 63. North wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Friday A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 80. Light and variable wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Friday Night A chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
