Sunday worship and church school are now at 8:30 a.m. The Re-newal study group will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday. History of the local church will be the topic.
STEUBEN Sunday is the Twenty-fourth Sunday after Pentecost. The scripture lessons, based on the theme "Bless God's Holy Name," are Haggai 1:15b-2:9; Psalm 145:1-5, 17-21; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-5, 13-17; and Luke 20:27-38. The Rev. Patricia E. Welch, pastor and teacher, will lead worship during the 11 a.m. service. Large print bulletins will be available.
First United Methodist
The church will honor veterans during worship Sunday.
Blood pressure screenings will take place after worship as well as the second Sunday senior singles luncheon.
Consecration Sunday is Nov. 18. The guest speaker will be Rev. Diane Johnson of the Wooster First United Methodist Church. A celebration brunch will follow worship.
The community Thanksgiving service will be at 7 p.m. Nov. 21 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
Milan Friends Church
MILAN This church, located at Ohio 13 and Mason Road, will have its annual Thanksgiving dinner from noon to 3 p.m. today. Admission is free.
CLARKSFIELD This church, located at 5151 Zenobia Road, will have services at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The Rev. Patty Jo Sheldon's sermon title is "Sacred Space."
The church bazaar will be from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. today. There will be cookies by the pound, bake sale, crafts, Rada knives, quick mix dips, grab bags and lunch available all day.
St. Joseph/St. Alphonsus
The St. Joseph Helping Hands craft bazaar will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the Monroeville schools.

This church, located at 67 E. Main St., Norwalk, will have the Colonial City Quartet perform at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service.
The adult education class, "Faith on Trial," continues at 9:30 a.m. Sunday in the Great Room with facilitator Tom Root. During the 10:45 morning worship service, the Rev. Adrian Doll continues in the fall preaching series, "Philippians: Rejoice in the Lord."
Orders for 2008 chancel flowers and Christmas poinsettias will be taken on Sunday and Nov. 18.
All donations for "Operation Christmas Child" should be received in the office by Monday.
The church youth will be hosting the annual youth/senior Thanksgiving dinner at 5 p.m. Nov. 18 in the Great Room.
Assembly of God
NORTH FAIRFIELD This church, located at 107 E. Main St., North Fairfield, has a new women's Bible study which begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday and will meet every other week.
Berniece Peters will be teaching on "Relationship with our Heavenly Father, Prayer, Life of Jesus, the Holy Spirit, Worship and Praise." Peters was healed in a Kathryn Kuhlman service and was also involved with the Rex Humbard Ministry with the "You Are Loved" seminars.

Children's Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated at the 9 a.m. Mass Sunday.
Look for the "Little Welcomers" this weekend. The "Little Welcomers" are children of the parish handing out "children's bulletins" to the young people of the parish as they leave church.
The St. Paul baptism ministry team meets with parents to explore the implications of the sacrament of baptism for them and their children.
Upcoming dates for the three-part Monday series for parents are: Nov. 26, Dec. 3 and 10. Parents are encouraged to participate in the sessions early in their pregnancy.
