The state Highway Patrol's Norwalk post charged two motorists with driving under the influence (DUI) in connection with separate traffic stops this weekend.

Elijah S. Utley, 30, of Ashland, was stopped at 10:13 p.m. Friday at the intersection of U.S. 250 and Old State Road. Trooper Korey Robinson reported stopping the suspect in response to a "grab DUI call" in which the caller accused Utley of weaving in the lane several times.

Utley, who has one prior offense, refused a breath test, the patrol reported.

Stephanie L. Jones, 39, of 202 Motson St., Willard, was stopped at 11:42 p.m. Saturday on Keefer Street south of Townline Road in Willard. Trooper Evan Stevens warned her about no license plate light and reported Jones had a blood-alcohol content (BAC) breath test of .150 percent, which is almost twice the legal limit of .08 percent for drivers in Ohio.
