One Columbus man is dead and three others remain hospitalized after their SUV flipped on the freeway over the weekend in Morrow County.

Jovan Johnson, 31, was killed in the 6:15 p.m. crash Saturday at the Rt. 61 exit off southbound Interstate 71.

Kenneth Langhorne, 32, was in critical condition this morning at Ohio State University's Wexner Medical Center, where William Johnson, 39, was in fair condition. Joseph Lindsey, 46, was in serious condition at Grant Medical Center.

Dion Holmes, 42, was treated at Grant and released on Saturday.

State Highway Patrol Lieutenant Toby J. Smith said the men were returning from Cleveland, where it’s believed they’d played in a flag football game. Investigators found spiked shoes and flags in the wreckage.

Witnesses said the 2002 Ford Explorer swerved from the left lane to the right lane of I-71, possibly to make the Rt. 61 exit. The SUV rolled several times, and all of the men were thrown from the vehicle.

Smith said investigators still don’t know who was driving or what caused the crash.
