'Dancing with the Stars' tour to visit Cleveland

CLEVELAND The "Dancing with the Stars" nationwide tour will make a stop in Cleveland early next year. The tour, which includes stars and professional dancers from the ABC hit show's first five seasons, will visit 37 cities throughout North America.

CLEVELAND The "Dancing with the Stars" nationwide tour will make a stop in Cleveland early next year.

The tour, which includes stars and professional dancers from the ABC hit show's first five seasons, will visit 37 cities throughout North America.

The third cast of the tour features an ensemble of the show's most popular competitors, including season five's Wayne Newton with Cheryl Burke and Sabrina Bryan with Mark Ballas, plus season three's Joey Lawrence with Edyta Sliwinska and Monique Coleman with Alec Mazo, as well as professional dancers Derek Hough, Brian Fortuna and Kym Johnson.

Drew Lachey, a previous season winner, will serve as the special guest star. Dances will be choreographed by Louis Van Amstel.

The Cleveland tour stop takes place Jan. 8 at the Wolstein Center, formerly known as the Cleveland Convocation Center. Scheduled performers include Newton, Burke, Bryan, Ballas, Lawrence, Sliwinska, Coleman and Lachey.

The tour will visit Columbus' Nationwide Arena the next day.

The hit series pairs celebrities with professional dancers and is drawing more than 35 million viewers for its dance-off (8 p.m. Mondays) and results (9 p.m. Tuesdays) shows on ABC.
