Steuben UCC

STEUBEN Sunday is the Twenty-third Sunday after Pentecost. The scripture lessons, based on the theme "Welcoming Jesus," are Habakkuk 1:1-4 & 2:1-4; Psalm 119:137-144; 2 Thessalonians 1:1-4, 11-12; and Luke 19:1-10. The Rev. Patricia E. Welch, pastor and teacher, will lead worship during the 11 a.m. service. Large print bulletins will be available.

Steuben Church recognizes the first Sunday of each month as "Food Bank Sunday." Worshippers are asked to bring nonperishable food items, cleaning products, and personal hygiene items. These will be distributed to an area food bank.

Wakeman St. Mary

WAKEMAN This church will have its annual rummage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 10. Clothes, furniture, collectibles and holiday items will be part of the event. Drawing for the stores/apartment and doll bed will be at 2 p.m. Nov. 10.

Greenwich UMC

First United Methodist

Remember to turn clocks back one hour Saturday night.

On Sunday, the congregation will celebrate All Saint's Sunday. The sermon series will continue with the words of Jesus, "I have called you friends," in preparation for Consecration Sunday on Nov. 18 with a celebration brunch to follow worship. The guest speaker is the Rev. Diane Johnson from Wooster United Methodist Church.

Fitchville UMC

FITCHVILLE The annual turkey supper is at 4 p.m. Nov. 10. The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for those ages 5 to 10, with preschoolers free. Tickets are available at the door. The dinner includes turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, squash, green beans, corn, dinner rolls, applesauce, homemade pies and cakes. Carryouts will be available. Pumpkin rolls will be on sale for $10 each.

St. Joseph/St. Alphonsus

The annual Thanksgiving dinner for seniors is Sunday at St. Alphonsus.

An All Soul's Day Memorial Mass will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Alphonsus.

A parent sacramental meeting will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph.

First Presbyterian, Norwalk

This Sunday the church observes All Saint's Day during the 10:45 morning worship service. The sacrament of communion will be observed.

At 3:30 p.m. the church invites the community to a performance of the critically acclaimed production of "The Gospel of John" with award-winning actor Brad Sherrill. This one-person, live performance has been performed throughout the United States, Canada and Great Britain, including a six-week run off-Broadway at New York's historic Lamb's Theater in 2003. Based entirely on the words of John's Gospel, this production brings the story of Jesus to the stage. There will be a reception immediately following the performance with an opportunity to meet Sherrill.

St. Paul Catholic

Spanish Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

Blood pressures will be taken after the 7 a.m. Mass and 1:30 p.m. Mass. Fellowship and refreshments will follow the 7, 9 and 11 a.m. Masses Sunday. The rosary will be recited at 1 and 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

BELLEVUE This church, located at 16209 Seneca County Road 46 E., is hosting a pork chop dinner from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 11. Carryouts will be available. The dinner includes pork chops, dressing, potatoes, applesauce or slaw, dessert and drink. This church will then be hosting a euchre and pinochle party at 7 p.m. Nov. 18.
