A STRONG HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM OVER THE AREA IS RESULTING IN AN
EXTENDED STRETCH OF HOT AND HUMID CONDITIONS. VERY HUMID
CONDITIONS COMBINED WITH TEMPERATURES RISING INTO THE LOWER TO
MID 90s WILL RESULT IN HEAT INDICES AROUND 100 TO 104 DEGREES

AND THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING INTENSITY OF HEAT WILL POTENTIALLY
CAUSE HEAT RELATED ILLNESSES. SIMILAR HEAT INDICES ARE EXPECTED
TOMORROW BEFORE A COLD FRONT PROVIDES RELIEF FOR THE WEEKEND.

8 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* HEAT INDEX VALUES...UP TO 102.

* TIMING...HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL EXCEED 100 TODAY PRIMARILY THIS

THE RISK OF HEAT RELATED ILLNESSES. THOSE WORKING OUTDOORS AND
PEOPLE AND ANIMALS WITHOUT ACCESS TO AIR CONDITIONING ARE MOST
AT RISK FOR HEAT RELATED ILLNESSES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TEMPERATURE INDICATES. EXPECT HAZY... HOT AND HUMID CONDITIONS

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
