Huron County buildings and grounds employees are presently cleaning up an area located at the rear of the office building which has been damaged due to a water leak.

Pete Welch, buildings and grounds executive officer, provided more details Thursday during a break in the county commissioners' meeting.

"I don't know it's black mold," Welch said when asked about that report.

"At the rear of the office building there was a water leak into the stairwell," he said. "We pulled back the wallpaper and there is some discoloration of the walls."

Welch said it looks like "mildew."

"If there is something more there we'll hire the appropriate contractor to take care of it," he said.
