The state Highway Patrol's Norwalk post is investigating a one-vehicle serious injury crash that occurred at 7:06 p.m. Wednesday on Derussey Road in Townsend Township.

Tony Hoff, 23, of Wakeman, was driving a 1991 Ford Escort north on Derussey, north of Crandall Road, when his vehicle traveled off the west side of the roadway, striking a ditch and overturning. Hoff, who not wearing his seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle, troopers said. The vehicle came to rest off the west side of the road.

Hoff sustained incapacitating injuries and was flown from the scene by a LifeFlight helicopter to Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center.

The vehicle was towed by Fitzgerald's Towing.

No charges have been filed, and alcohol is not considered a factor in the crash, troopers said. The accident remains under investigation.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by Citizens EMS, the Huron County Sheriff's Department, LifeFlight and Fitzgerald's Towing.

tony ur in my prayers hope u be okay

...from someone who's been there... praying for you...

Nice little commercial there for Fitzgerald's. Immaterial and tacky.

For the past few months, all the papers have been listing the tow companies in articles about accidents. I personally do not see anything wrong with it.

Pretty sure that the advertisements are random. Go to an article, see the ad, go back to home page, and then go back to same article - you'll get a different ad each time most likely.
