Exercise classes for seniors

Seniors Stay Strong: Mondays and Wednesdays, 8 a.m., Ernsthausen Recreation Center, 100 Republic St., Norwalk. Class designed to tone and strengthen muscles.

Seniors Keep Moving: Tuesdays, Ernsthausen Community Center, 100 Republic St., and Thursdays, Carriage House-Garden Level, Fisher-Titus Parkway, enter at Shady Lane Drive (both classes at 9 a.m.) Fitness class targeting balance, endurance, strength and flexibility for seniors.

Helmets for Kids

Does your child need a new bicycle helmet? Fisher-Titus Specialty Services, 111 E. Main St., New London, will properly fit children for helmets from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday (closed for lunch from noon to 1 p.m.). For more information, call (419) 929-1027.

Children must be present to ensure proper fit. A $2 donation per helmet is requested. The helmets used by FTMC comply with the safety standards of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and come in four sizes and a variety of colors.

Heartsaver first aid course

Fisher-Titus Medical Center is offering a Heartsaver First Aid course from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. Nov. 7 at the hospital, 272 Benedict Ave., Norwalk.

Participants will learn how to recognize and treat adult emergencies until advanced medical personnel arrive. To register or for more information call FTMC at (419) 660-2646.

Heartsaver CPR

Fisher-Titus Medical Center is offering Heartsaver CPR training from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at the hospital, 272 Benedict Ave., Norwalk.

Participants will learn CPR, breathing, resuscitation techniques, and choking response techniques. To register or for more information call FTMC at (419) 660-2646.

PrimeCare health screenings

Fisher-Titus Medical Center's PrimeCare Advantage members are invited from 7 to 9 a.m. on Election Day, Nov. 6 at The Carriage House of FTMC-Garden Level (take Fisher-Titus Parkway off Shady Lane Drive behind the Medical Center) to stop by for cholesterol screenings, blood sugar screenings, blood pressure checks and health information.

Cost is $12. A 12-hour fast is recommended for cholesterol screenings. Coffee and breakfast snacks will be available. Registration is not required. For more information, call (419) 660-2546.

PrimeCare luncheon

"Focus on Heart Disease" will be the program for the PrimeCare Advantage luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 7 at The Carriage House of Fisher-Titus Medical Center, Garden Level. Cardiologist Dr. Raj Karnik will provide tips on how to prevent heart disease.

Cost of the lunch is $3 and guests are welcome. Reservations are required.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support

Fisher-Titus Medical Center is offering an Advanced Cardiac Life Support renewal course for healthcare professionals from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 6 at the hospital, 272 Benedict Ave., Norwalk. Participants must have a current CPR card.

Breastfeeding class

Fisher-Titus Medical Center is offering a breastfeeding class for expectant mothers. Participants will learn tips and techniques for more successful and effective breastfeeding along with the benefits it provides to both mother and baby. Class will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 6 at the hospital, 272 Benedict Ave., Norwalk.
