It looks like that concert break I was hoping for isn't going to happen.

First, there's the Porcupine Tree show at the House of Blues in Cleveland on Oct. 22. That's a good start.

Then, on Nov. 11, Chris Cornell, former lead singer for Soundgarden and Audioslave, will play the House of Blues. That's one I'm probably attending.

Moving on, The Cult have just announced they are playing the House of Blues on Nov. 21 the day before Thanksgiving. I'm usually tired every Thanksgiving Day anyway, so hey, now I've got a good reason.

The Cult just released "Born Into This" Tuesday and it's different much different than the 2001 CD, "Beyond Good & Evil."

"Born Into This" is minus the tuned down guitars and grungy songs, which were really good on "Beyond Good & Evil." And it's shorter, with just 10 songs clocking in at a total of 41 minutes.

So far, songs "Illuminated," "Holy Mountain" and "Dirty Little Rockstar" stand out.

One positive thing is all three shows are at the House of Blues, an excellent venue.

I know what you're thinking. No one is forcing you to go to any of these concerts. Yes, that's true. But, hey, you get one life and I like to do things. There are a few concerts I thought weren't important over the years and I didn't go and I now look back with some regret. I don't like regret. If the opportunity is out there, I'm going to take it.

Just saw that a few tickets have been released for the Van Halen show Oct. 10 at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. By the time you read this, they may be gone so hurry.

Stevie Wonder will play the Quicken Loans Arena on Nov. 6, which is Election Day. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday and range in cost from $95 to $200.

Don't forget the Trans-Siberian Orchestra plays the Quicken Loans Arena at 9:30 p.m. Dec. 31. Tickets are $45 to $65. What a way to bring in the new year.

Maroon 5 plays Quicken Loans Arena on Friday. Tickets are still available and cost $40.50 to $50.50.

Ryan Adams will play the Lakewood Civic Auditorium on Oct. 27. Tickets are on sale and cost $25 to $35. I saw Lindsey Buckingham play the Civic Auditorium in October 2006 and it's a nice venue.

Finally, King Diamond will play Peabody's Downunder in Cleveland on April 10, 2008. Tickets, $30 apiece, are on sale now.
