SCHOOL MATTERS - Early Childhood Center plans open house Nov. 14

During a recent conversation with a parent of one of our students I was told that the Early Childhood Center and Kindercasa are two of Norwalk's best kept secrets. Although I knew this was meant as a compliment, the remark made me stop and think. I knew that the secret part needed to change.

During a recent conversation with a parent of one of our students I was told that the Early Childhood Center and Kindercasa are two of Norwalk’s best kept secrets.

Although I knew this was meant as a compliment, the remark made me stop and think. I knew that the secret part needed to change.

So, after discussing different options, my staff and I would like to invite the citizens of Norwalk and the surrounding areas to stop by and see all the great things the Norwalk Catholic School Early Childhood Center has to offer. We will be hosting an open house at the center, which is located at 77 State St., from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 14. Our classrooms will be open and our teachers will be on hand to share with you the opportunities that are available for the youngest members of our community.

Nov. 14 is also national teddy bear day. In recognition of national teddy bear day we will be hosting Teddy N Me at our open house. Teddy N Me is a traveling build-a-bear workshop. Everyone visiting our open house will have the opportunity, for a small fee, to make their very own teddy bear. This will be a wonderful opportunity to check out the Early Childhood Center and take part in a great family activity. Bears and their accessories can be pre-ordered to ensure availability during the open house. For more information or to obtain an order form please call the Early Childhood Center at (419) 668-8480. Hope to see you there.
