Area woman gets additional prison time

A Norwalk woman pleaded guilty Wednesday to receiving stolen property and was sentenced to an additional two months in prison. Leslie Stower, 25, started serving 17 months behind bars at the Northeast Pre-Release Center on May 29 for a local attempted theft conviction. Huron County Common Pleas Judge Jim Conway added 60 days to that prison term for a March 29 incident involving credit cards. Stower pleaded guilty to one receiving stolen property charge during the same hearing Wednesday.
