The spring musical at Edison this year is "Thoroughly Modern Millie," the musical spoof of the Roaring 20s based on the Academy Award winning movie starring Julie Andrews. Millie Dillmount moves to New York City in search of a new life. She leads the audience on a romp through the 1920s jazz era a world of danger, intrigue and change.

Both shows will be performed by members of the Edison Drama Club, which more than 90 students participated in last year. They spent more than 7,000 hours of work that resulted in 12 performances for a combined audience of nearly 2,000 people.

In addition to shows at Edison, club members attended and performed at the area and state Thespian Conferences and the International Thespian Festival in Lincoln, Neb.
