Living will program scheduled for Oct. 16

WILLARD - Mercy Hospital of Willard is participating in Living Wills and Advance Directives Week by hosting "Living Today, Planning Tomorrow," a presentation about living wills and advance directives, at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 16 in the Wasserman Room. This presentation provides an opportunity to put in writing the care you would want to receive as you face healthcare decisions. Nobody likes to think about his or her own death, but conversations about death and dying can ensure that your choices are carried out if you become unconscious, terminally ill or unable to communicate. Gov. Ted Strickland declared Oct. 14 to 20 Living Wills and Advance Directives Week 2007. Mercy Hospital of Willard is one of many Ohio organizations recognizing Living Wills and Advance Directives Week with an educational presentation. Connie Foster, RN will explain advance directives and help participants to complete these important documents.
