Humane Society: Pups belonged to fisherman who claimed he found them at reservoir

Charges pending against local man.

A fisherman wasn't truthful when he told investigators he found eight puppies in poor health at the Bellevue reservoir, said Bonnie Albright, the humane society's director of development and marketing.

They're his dogs.

Now charges are pending further investigation of the case.

A story with details about the case and an update of the dogs' conditions was published in Friday's Norwalk Reflector. Wow you are all so blind and easily programed! !! It was the "supposed fisherman" that owned the puppies. He did not find them. They were his and he didn't want them or want them to die so he took them to the shelter with his "story" so they would take them.. for animal cruelty charges chech the "fisherman" we all know fisherman lie and sailors swear....

There has to be special place in hell for people like this or for those who would accuse the fisherman who did the humane thing. Why must some small minded people always try to start unfounded rumors?

To Slim, I was wrong, my apology, guess I always try to look for the good in people and saw it in the fisherman. That being said he did the right thing in the wrong way. He could have just dumped them along the roadway, but he didn't he took them to a safe shelter. When you read the entire printed article he has taken the mother dog to the vet and plans of neutering dad & spaying the mother dog, he made a mistake by lying but in the end seems like he is at least trying to do the right thing.

Swiss cheese kat , I hope you have donated to the humane society, or are comments your only contribution, and yes I have sent a check and I urge everyone to donate to their local animal shelter or rescue..

David Deerest.

He took them to a safe shelter??? That's the best you got? THEY WERE NEAR DEATH! They collapsed on the floor of the office out there. SO, NO! He did NOT do the HUMANE thing by taking them to a shelter. He could have at least fed and watered them. Good Lord, what is wrong with you? There's no GOOD in people anymore. Quit trying to make excuses for this P.O.S. I hope he ROTS.

Dave, there are still people with good inside them, although that number is dwindling these days.

Tell me why I should have to donate? I'd like to hear your explanation on that. Good for you. Maybe next time you will give it some thought and hold back on your comments.

Get a grip, Is he a perfect pet owner, far from it but, what I am saying how many times does people just dump animals? He finally did the right thing and is now at least trying to take care of the parents hopefully under the monitoring of the humane society. It must difficult to be perfect like you.

Apparently he tried to kill them before he turned them over.. Gee what a guy!

Now The Rest of...

Where did you read that at? I read The Morning Journal and this newspaper and that was not in the article.

starryeyes83

Because they were in bad shape and starved dehydrated.... and some of them collapsed at the facility. So apparently he didn't let them nurse.
