Salvation Army's Learning Zone open for students

The Learning Zone at The Salvation Army, 55 Whittlesey Ave. offers transportation from Norwalk City Schools to the center daily Monday through Thursday for elementary students second through fourth grades who would like homework assistance. The Learning Zone schedule begins at 3:30 p.m. with a snack followed by homework assistance along with computer time and crafts. Dismissal will be at 5:30 p.m. in which the parents are responsible in picking up their child. Call the Salvation Army at (419) 668-4090 an ask for Marilyn Riley to register, or stop in and get an application. Space is limited to 30 students. Volunteer applications are also available at the corps.
